In-Person Counselling

In-Person Counselling

In-person counselling offers a dedicated place for us to meet face to face. Stepping away from everyday surroundings can create room to pause, settle
into the conversation and give your experience some attention.
Sharing the same room allows us to notice what may be difficult to express through words alone. We can begin with what feels important and allow the relationship to develop at your pace.

What In-Person counselling can offer

Meeting in person gives us the opportunity to share the same physical space, away from screens and the interruptions that can sometimes come with meeting online. The setting is agreed beforehand, giving us a clear place in which to pause and focus on what has brought you to counselling.

Being in the same room allows us to notice more than words alone. A silence, a change in posture or something that feels difficult to express can all become part of what we explore together. There is no pressure to fill every moment or arrive knowing where to begin.

In-person counselling can offer a clear separation from everyday life, creating time to arrive, settle into the conversation and leave with space to reflect afterwards.

Could In-Person counselling work for you?

In-person counselling may suit you if you value meeting face to face or would prefer counselling to take place away from your home and usual surroundings. Some people appreciate having a physical place connected specifically with the time they set aside for themselves.

The location will be discussed and agreed before sessions begin. Home visits may also be available depending on location and individual circumstances, with privacy, suitability and practical arrangements considered beforehand.

You do not need to know in advance whether in-person counselling is the right choice. We can talk through what you need from the setting and consider whether meeting in person, online or through Walk & Talk feels most appropriate.

Arrive as you are

You are welcome to arrive, settle in and have some water, tea or coffee if you would like. There is no need to prepare what to say. We can begin with whatever feels important that day.

Home visits

Home visits may be available depending on your location and individual circumstances. We’ll consider privacy, suitability and practical details together, so the arrangement works well for us both.
